Whether you’re aiming to learn something new, stay ahead of the class or just want to prepare for your exams. these online learning platforms are a great and easily accessible resource for learning on your own schedule. They are specifically designed for the Zambian (ECZ) Syllabus and as an alternative to physical class room learning. These platforms tend to be a little more flexible but it’s important that students compare their options to find what’s best for them.

#3 Smart Revision (Easy-to-use Quiz App)

This is Zamtel & Examination Council of Zambia’s revision tool for grades 7, 9 & 12 past papers. It has a website and an android application that are both easy to use. The following are the reasons to consider using this application:

Advantages:

  • The application has a good number of past papers for some subjects.
  • You can answer the past papers online and then it shows you the correct and wrong answers and your score at the end of the quiz.
  • It is easy to use
  • It is the official app from ECZ and ZAMTEL

Disadvantages:

  • Users are required to pay monthly subscription of ZMW30, ZMW20 and ZMW10 for Grade 12, 9 and 7 respectively.

#4 MTN eTutor (Cheapest for MTN network)

MTN eTutor comes with video based examination revisions for various Zambian examination classes. It is simply a good app. However, the following are the reasons why you should and should not also consider using MTN eTutor:

Advantages:

  • Online video lessons with comprehensive and concise revision notes based on the Zambian curriculum (syllabi)
  • Interactive online collaborative forum with active moderation and guidance from eTutors.
  • No Data Charges on the MTN network ONLY

Disadvantages:

  • It can only be used on the MTN network and will not work for other networks i.e ZAMTEL and Airtel.
  • Videos are short and not very detailed.
  • It does not allow downloads for any of its material.

#5 MOGE E-Learning Portal (Official E-Learning Platform of the Government of Zambia)

This is an initiative from the Government of Zambia to provide a quality e-learning platform for Primary, Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools in Zambia. It not only provides services for students but teachers and institutions as well. The following is why you should consider this application:

Advantages:

  • Quality Notes
  • Quality Video Lessons

Disadvantages:

  • Slow loading time
  • ZMW35, ZMW30 and ZMW25 for Secondary, Junior Secondary and Primary respectively.
  • Does not have enough content.
